As the days grow shorter and summer draws to a close, before we begin that long journey through hockey season to mosquito season, (as a young man's fancy turns to thoughts of stashing away nuts and berries and swapping summer-undies for double-ply Stanfields) we look forward to one last long weekend this summer. Mike's top five things to do on the last long weekend of summer.
#5. We will likely be without sun for the next eight months – so you might as well put away all your solar powered garden lights.
#4. Get your buddies and see if you can pull the snowmobile out of the lake and start getting it ready.
#3. Neatly fold and store all of your white pants, shirts and shoes.
#2. Practice driving in school zones by staying behind a very slow moving motor home all the way to Vancouver.
#1. Start a savings plan for those $500 natural gas bills coming up in December and January!
