Mike's Top Five List
Tuesday, 08 June 2010 05:57
The Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC is holding a contest to get people more involved in sport fishing. The society says in the last decade the number of people fishing is dropping. So, unlike the fish I caught a few years ago, the number of people fishing is actually getting smaller every year? Mike's top five reasons why fewer people are fishing.
#5. Let's see; ten rainbow trout fillets at Costco; $11 (with coupon) vs Fishing license, pleasure craft operators card and gear; $190.
#4. Gee, getting up at four in the morning just to stand in the rain for four hours of frustration (and it's not golf).
#3. One word: Nemo.
#2. Two things: my hook, my ear.
#1. It needs a name change. Maybe if, instead of “fishing”, it was called “catching”!

Also..
New regulations regarding the accurate reporting of size of fish caught.
