How to backup Google Docs to your local computer

Four simple steps to backup all of your spreadsheets, docs, files and folders to your local computer from Google Docs / Google Drive…

Select all of the files or folders you want to save to your local computer.

Click on the “More” button and the select Download.

Google will convert your files to the file type you choose or go with the default and just click Download. Your files will be compressed to a zip file.

Save the compressed file (zip) to your Desktop or wherever you like and you’re done!
