The Prince George Civic Election – Simplified

WHEN: Voting day is Saturday (8am-8pm).

NOTE: Public transit will be free all day.

WHERE (any of these locations):

  • Blackburn Elementary School
  • DP Todd Secondary School
  • Edgewood Elementary School
  • École Lac des Bois
  • John McInnis Centre
  • Kelly Road Secondary School
  • Malaspina Elementary School
  • Ron Brent Elementary School
  • Vanway Elementary School


  • Must be 18-years-old or older.
  • Must be a BC resident for at least six months.
  • Must live in the City of Prince George for at least 30 days.
  • Must not be disqualified under the Local Government Act or any other enactment from voting in a local election.


  • Two pieces of ID to prove who you are and where you live (identity and place of residence). Note: Combination of BC Services Card and BC Driver’s Licence only count as one document.


If you live in Prince George…

  • You’ll see a list of people running for Council (13 people), you can select up to 8 people.
  • You’ll see a list of people running for School Board, select up to 5 people.


Results should be available as early at 9pm Saturday night on the City’s website.

Note: You might have heard about a vote for Proportional Representation, that is a mail-in vote and is seperate from this Civic Election.
